Ironman
|
At 9:58 p.m., on September 24, 2005, three and a half years after Stump
decided to take control of her life, Paula Bruchhaus crossed the finish line of
a full Ironman distance triathlon. At 7:00 in
the morning (with her family and one of her students watching) Paula began her
quest. Fourteen hours and
fifty-eight minutes later at 9:58 p.m. when she crossed the finish line she
heard the words, “Paula Bruchhaus, you ARE an Ironman.”
|
| In Paula’s speech you will hear the story of how and why she set this
unbelievable goal, the training involved to prepare for this Ironman, and the
events and emotions from that very special day in her life. |
