is a fourth grade teacher.
She and her husband have two children.
At thirty-five years old, after a lifetime of obesity, Paula decided that
it was time to change her lifestyle. She
started exercising before school every morning at Gigi’s |

In January of 2005, she was contacted to have her
story published in a book about women running marathons. The
excitement continued in April of 2005 when she was flown to |

September 24, 2005, the day Hurricane Rita hit her hometown, she
achieved her ultimate goal, a full Ironman distance triathlon!! |
